How to Request Training

Requesting Training can be done by:

  • Coming down to our main office in the Lower Level of the Library in LL4 (the Computer Lab) and fill in a Equipment Reservation Sheet.
    OR
  • By logging into our Reservation system, which you can reach Here

To Log in to our Reservation system, please use your URI Webmail Username and Password.

What Should You Know After a Training?

  • Where all equipment and switches within a room are
  • How to operate all media that you plan to use (Laptop, DVD, VHS, Audio, etc.)
  • Basic troubleshooting of all equipment you plan to use. (How to solve common problems)
  • How to receive further assistance either during a class, or after a class for further media support


Training on Rooms with Installed Equipment

  • Rooms with Installed Equipment (Rooms with a Digital Projector installed in the ceiling) are reserved first through Enrollment Services.
  • Please reserve equipment soon as you know your room assignment.
  • When you reserve equipment through Classroom Media Assistance, make sure you fill in the form as thoroughly as possible.


If you reserved equipment in person at our Office, and you checked the box "First-Time User", we will schedule one of our Techs to meet you either at the specified room, or at our Main Office.

Training on Rooms with Uninstalled Equipment

  • Rooms with Uninstalled Equipment (Rooms without a Digital Projector installed in the ceiling) are reserved first through Enrollment Services.
  • Please reserve equipment soon as you know your room assignment.
  • When you reserve equipment through Classroom Media Assistance, make sure you fill in the form as thoroughly as possible.


If you reserved equipment in person at our Office, and you checked the box "First-Time User", we will schedule one of our Techs to meet you either at the specified room, or at our Main Office.
