Rhody Ready Passwords
All Rhody Ready Computers will ask for their password when they exit "sleep" mode.
- The passwords are in capital letters
- Serial number + first 3 letters of the first name
for example: serial number = psa1234567, name = Michael Jones, password = PSA1234567MIC
Dell serials
- alpha-numeric
- also known as the service tag
- example - 89NL531
Toshiba serials
- 9 characters long
- has a letter suffix
- example - 72082677P
HP serials
- 10 characters long
- Starts with CNU
- example – CNU53004LM
IBM serials
- 7 characters long
- Starts with L3
- example – L3NTD65
Macintosh computers do not ask for a password. Users are urged to set one immediately.
Go to Apple > System Preferences > Accounts. Click "Change Password".
