Percussion's Rhythmyx software is an enterprise-ready Web Content Management (WCM) system selected by the Web Management Team (WMT) to provide infrastructure for future university web projects.
Conversion
The university will be converting sites to this content management system over the next couple of years. The IITS Web Management Team will be contacting each college about the conversion, and not all sites will be moved at once. Currently, the College of the Environment and Life Sciences has already created a pilot website with this software.
Usage
Each college and administrative unit will have a sub-administrator for the system, departments within the colleges will have “content strategists” to coordinate Web content within the department, and the departments will also have “content providers” who submit new content as appropriate. Content can be uploaded using an application as common as Microsoft Word.
