The Network Utility is a Macintosh GUI for command-line network applications. This includes Ping, Traceroute, Netstat, Whois, and Port Scan.

Launch Network Utility

1. Go to the Utilities folder and double click the Network Utility icon.
2. Use the tabs at the top of the application to switch between commands.

802.11 Network Card

1. Under the Info tab, select Network Interface (en1) for wireless.
2. Next to Model, look for 802.11 a/b/g or 802.11 a/b/g/n.
