Macintosh, Eject a Disc

There are many methods to eject CD or DVD media from a Macintosh computer running OS X.
- Control-click or right-click the media and select Eject from the menu.
- In Leopard, go to the Eject icon in the menubar, and select the media.
- Open a Finder window and click the Eject arrow next to the media.
- Press the eject button on the keyboard, if one exists.
- Hold down the primary mouse button while booting.
- Select the media, then go to File, and select Eject.
- Select the media, then type Command+E.
- Drag the media icon to the trash.
- Enter the following command in the Terminal utility,
drutil tray eject
