There are many methods to eject CD or DVD media from a Macintosh computer running OS X.

• Control-click or right-click the media and select Eject from the menu.
• In Leopard, go to the Eject icon in the menubar, and select the media.
• Open a Finder window and click the Eject arrow next to the media.
• Press the eject button on the keyboard, if one exists.
• Hold down the primary mouse button while booting.
• Select the media, then go to File, and select Eject.
• Select the media, then type Command+E.
• Drag the media icon to the trash.

• Enter the following command in the Terminal utility,

 drutil tray eject
