Student email accounts will be deleted 6 months after graduation/commencement. To keep an address, it must be forwarded to another account, such as gmail or yahoo. See http://uri.edu/helpdesk/forward for more information.
Any email account may also be purposely deleted using the instructions below,
Instructions
Email accounts are deleted using the following process,
- The user must validate his/her identity by coming to the help desk with a photo ID or faxing one to 874-4395.
- If the user is going to fax their ID, please be sure to give them the ticket number to put on the fax.
- The user must also email helpdesk@etal.uri.edu with a formal request for the termination.
- They should not go into that email address again or it will be reactivated.
Important Note
- Students should make sure they are not enrolled in any courses before attempting to delete their email accounts.
