Macintosh
OS X Clone
1. Connect the target machine via a firewire cable in Target Disk Mode.*
2. Use the Carbon Copy Cloner application (see below) to select input and target destinations.
3. Leave the machines until complete. Test the destination machine.**
(*) - Connecting a stand-alone HDD or SSD does not require firewire.
(**) - Do not clone OS X between different hardware (i.e. only Macbooks to Macbooks).
BootCamp Clone
1. Use the WinClone application (see below) to create a volume image of the BootCamp partition.
2. Use WinClone again to install an image to a new partition on any machine.*
(*) - Installing a BootCamp system between different hardware may require the use of the OS X disc to install new drivers.

Cloning
Hardware
1. Disconnect the old target drive from the machine.
2. Install the drive in the source machine (use the cables from the zip drive).
CloneZilla
1. Boot from the CloneZilla live CD.
2. Do not edit the keymap when prompted.
3. Select "Start CloneZilla", then "device-device", then "disk_to_local_disk".
4. Choose hda as source disk and hdb as target disk.
5. On the first options screen, remove grub and add verbose mode.
6. On the second options screen, select "-k1" to reset partitions.
7. Continue through the steps, choosing "yes" until completed.
Troubleshooting
CloneZilla (CZ) may have problems partitioning the target drive. If this is the case, be sure to format the drive manually (i.e. with the included CZ console).
Some partitions may be "unclean", i.e. the machine needs to be started and shut down properly through the Windows interface. This will clean the partitions.
